As a speculative fiction author and poet, I respect the immense creative efforts in crafting a captivating reader journey! That said, while my reading tastes vary, I look for enthralling characters and plots, and expect polished prose (any style). It's in my nature to encourage others and share positive feedback, so I only post reviews that I can honestly assess at 3 or more stars. No review is a gentle indication that a book wasn't for me. :)

My preference is for books that would have a film rating of PG-13, but also appreciate "R-rated" if the themes and characters are worth the darkness.
