I first read this on Inkitt, and when Melanie offered it to some readers to read in its glory before publishing, I jumped right at it!

This hurt the first time, and it hurt the second time. In fact, it was probably worse the second time because I knew what was coming!

Bash… oh my lord… how to describe… he was the best friend she could have, until he wasn’t.

Jaxon… TSTL, selfish, and downright nasty! His public downfall was epic, and I loved reading that scene over and over again. And the everlasting effects of a stalker? Chefs kiss….

But Amelia… I loved her. She was so quietly powerful in her own right. I loved her actions as the story progressed. The classic weak-to-strong trope as the blinders come off and she realises her power.

This ended up being such a quick read (well, it felt that way) because I didn’t surface until I was all the way through… One that I will probably read over and over again.
