A deeply disturbing look into the world of cults. A little slow at the start for me, but it becomes a slow burn and the last quarter of the book had me flying to finish. So stick with it if you were like me and thinking “What in the what is going on here?” This author had a unique style specifically in sentence structure, which seemed to change as the puzzle pieces started to come together for Quinn. It added a reality to the psychological journey of Quinn.

And Sterling. Oof. Imma need a full psychoanalysis of Sterling. This man seemed to feel nothing and was definitely unhinged. Good riddance.

Remy was my fav. Please give him all the boo-berries that his little heart desires.

I’m not sure I would categorize this as a thriller-it was more of a psychological drama, and certainly delved into trauma. Overall, I enjoyed this book. A big thanks to the author and Books and Bloom PR for the ARC.
