“The After” - “Pride goes before destruction, and a haughty spirit before a fall.”

This was a very interesting little tale of manipulation and deception. “The After” shows you the before, during and after and while it may feel a bit chaotic at first it builds to a surprising climax with a nice twist.

This short story was dark, twisty and packed a punch! Definitely liked getting to know these characters in such a fast paced tale.

Enjoyed this one and think it’s another great addition to the “In The Cards” collection,

also has me very interested in what other stories Tayler Vaughn has up her sleeve.

This short story is part of “Lethal Obsessions” a multi author collection where obsession turns deadly and this one sure nailed it!

Reading this felt almost like having a peek behind the curtain of how someone operates. I felt myself being the observer and for a short story this one sure leaves a big impression. Not my first short story but Danielle Fear and definitely not my last. My only complaint is wanting and needing more!
