This is the second book in the series that follows Detectives Jenkins and Barrientos. The action starts out quick and continues throughout the book with sentimental and touching parts mixed in as well. The story follows the detectives as they work to shut down a trafficking ring that escalated from a drug ring to a murder, to child trafficking where the king pin has been untouchable. The story kept me reading and I couldn't read it quick enough to find out what happened next.
I love seeing the progression of the character development in this book and look forward to more books in this series.

Thank you for the opportunity to read and review Moss and Mirrors! It gives an eye-opening and disturbing look into Quinn's life and other ladies in the "safe" house when she is rescued from one cult and ends up going from what may have been just the flames and into the fire.
The book is written in third person and takes some work to follow. However, once I got a little further in, I came to appreciate the style for what it is: a representation of the absolute cluster that the ladies are going through at the hands of Sterling, both from Quinn's point of view and from his.
Remy and his "boo-berries" was absolutely adorable and I would give him all of them in the world if I was able. I look forward to reading other books by Nicole in the future.
