I began actively reading with the FB community early in 2025. I didn’t realize that I was supporting indie authors until I was actually doing it via ARC reviews and FB posts, and I love it! I’m a lenient reviewer because I’m intuitive about what I’m going to enjoy reading, so I happily give higher star ratings 99% of the time according to my stats😆! My reviews don’t contain spoilers. I can’t fully commit to Beta reading at this time, but I might DM to inquire about availability if I feel drawn to certain projects. I wish all authors and readers a good time and good luck!

I knew I was in trouble from the very beginning of Lost: The Search for Deputy Kizer by Tina S. Transformation! The hook that reeled me in was a fleeting, intensely dreadful scent that overwhelmed Officer Kizer’s partner when she was near her clothing locker. Yet, it left me just as rattled and preoccupied as it did her! That was it! I was fully invested in the long haul of this incredible 114-page novella!
This story put me through every messy emotion possible—from beautiful and touching to horrific and sad. Even in the most gnarly and ghostly moments, it was so easy to stay suspended in disbelief without even having to question the logic; I just couldn’t separate myself from her character!
I say this with total respect for the author’s creative imagination: this story had me holding my breath, completely caught off guard, and rereading the pages. Trying to process what I’d just read, my inner monologue kept shouting, “How in the heck is this happening?!” 😱
Tina has written something remarkable, but the purpose behind it makes it even MORE memorable. She’s written this to raise funds for her sister’s medical needs. I truly wish and pray for her sister’s health. I know the indie community rallies behind her HUGE HEART and SELFLESS GOAL. 💖💞💝

Audio Review: Updated on 1/9/26
By now, I know the name of narrator Jenny Myers by heart because she has read so many of Maria Frankland’s books! Her vocal performance is so intuitive to the characters; it consistently enhances my experience and sucks me right into the story as soon as she begins speaking.
Book Review:
The Wife I Was, by Maria Frankland marks her celebratory 25th novel! And she couldn’t have released a more perfect book for this incredible milestone!
Details can’t be broken down here without giving too much away, so what I will say is you will sympathize greatly with Georgia, the main character who struggles to remember what happened on a particular night. Her Nan might be the only person who can help her, but she has Alzheimer’s, so who would believe what she has to say? Their relationship has always been strong, and Georgia will have to rely on their bond to move forward.
What readers have come to expect when delving into Maria’s writing are some very detestable characters. She didn’t hold back here! It’s what makes you emotionally vested in her protagonist from start to finish.
This is a fast page-turner that had me alongside Georgia’s every movement at every moment. Feeling as if her muddled memories were my own. Heightened drama accelerates toward the end with a jaw-dropping conclusion!
This gripping novel left me emotionally raw. Seeking truth and finding justice for Georgia and her loved ones is a journey well worth taking. I highly recommend The Wife I Was, which I believe is Maria Frankland’s best work yet!
Previous Release Day Statement:
Everything I’ve read from Maria Frankland has been a 5⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️! All of her early reviews for The Wife I was has been OUTSTANDING!

Connected Reality
AV Donaldson★★★★★
Connected Reality has me five-star reeling! The first paragraph (and first character POV) alone is a total 'glass shatter' moment—I actually had to double-check that I read it right. Nicholas Cole is, without question, one of the most unapologetically despicable MMCs I’ve read. 'Womanizer' doesn't even touch it!
It turns the typical dating app story into an absolute next-level nightmare. The plot flows seamlessly, revealing more layers of deception with every chapter. This is my second read in two months with such a fresh and thrilling construct: a single-story collaboration where top indie authors lend their unique voices to relay-style chapters, with each character’s POV crafted by a different author. Connected Reality is the ultimate way to sample their talent in this quick, 94-page propulsive sprint!
