ARC received by Author - Thank you Serena!
Wow where do I start!
The book is a slow starter, and for the first few chapters, I didn't know if it was for me. Once I got though the first few chapters with the characters and world-building, I ate this book up.
honestly I did get slightly confused and had to read sections. But that is purely due to the number of charters in this book, and at one stage it wasn't adding up in my head.
This is book 1 of The Crescent Chronicles series, so it needed the detailed world-building, which was easy to understand, and each character has their own individual personalities woven into the storyline.
There where a few little irks that got me, with how Ameila would think/talk to herself it almost felt repetitive.
Its a slow burn, however when it gets to the spicy sections, they are well written and worth the long wait.
About the book:
Beasts is based in a college setting with Sorority and fraternity houses, and centres around Ameila who ran out of her sorority shortly after arriving when her house turns on her. with nowhere to go wonders the streets, when Nolan and Seth find her sitting on a curb, and invite her to stay with them at their faternity house.. I mean what could go wrong in a household of demons?
