The Mystery of the Missing Bequest

Meg, an eighty-one year old care home resident, retired teacher and widow of a detective chief inspector, and Lauren, a nineteen year old care assistant, form an unlikely pair of amateur sleuths but their track record proves they can crack the toughest of cases.

When three, very valuable, leather-bound stamp albums go missing, Meg and Lauren are called in. As they start identifying possible suspects, the police are dealing with a fatal stabbing. Meg fears the cases are connected even though the police seem convinced otherwise. But if the victim was their thief, why was he then murdered? And, more importantly, how did the thief remove the albums without being seen? 

This gripping mystery deals with themes of murder, theft and blackmail and, as the story races to it's thrilling conclusion, Lauren's own life in on the line.
