I absolutely loved Beyond the Cobbled Road: Darkness Fall by Stacey Bureker.
After Fading Light, I was already completely invested in this world and these characters, but somehow, this book made me even more attached to them.
One of my favorite things about this book was getting to explore the relationships even more. Watching these characters grow closer, support each other, and become this little found family was honestly something I enjoyed. I love when a book makes you care not only about the main characters, but about the bonds they build with each other.
And the little journey with Riley? I absolutely loved it. Getting to spend more time with him and seeing his birth realm was such a nice addition. It gave us more of the world, more character development, and, of course, more Riley.
This book also felt a little darker than the first one, and I really enjoyed that. There was a heavier feeling throughout the story, and it made the emotional moments hit even harder.
And that ending…
I'M SORRY... WAIT ?! !! WHAT?!!!
That ending threw me to the ground.
I finished the book and just stared at my Kindle like… okay, what am I supposed to do while I wait for book 3 FOR ANSWERS ! !!

I absolutely loved Nasty Part One by Serena Knights.
I was hooked from the very first lines. Serena has a way with words that speaks directly to my heart.
I had the chance to read it chapter by chapter on Ream, and I absolutely loved the experience. It was so much fun waiting for each new chapter, then reading everyone's comments and sharing my own opinions and theories with other readers.
Nasty follows Evie and her sister, Maeve, who comefrom a cursed line of witches. Evie can't seem to catch a break … she's broke, unemployed, and on the verge of losing custody of her sick younger sister.
But where's the "nasty," you ask? It's coming...
Out of desperation and love, Evie tries to summon a lesser spirit … but things don't exactly go as planned. Instead, she summons Bez, a demon who offers to grant her deepest desires... in exchange for a few favors. Like pretending to be her boyfriend.
Yeah... I know. You want to read it now.
What I loved most was the incredible character growth and the relationships that developed throughout the story. Evie won me over immediately, even if there were moments when I wanted to shake her because of her denial and questionable decisions.
And Bez... BEZ!! Oh. My. God. He's a demon with the energy of an adorable kitten, unless someone threatens Evie. Then he turns into a ruthless hellhound without a shred of mercy. I love him so much.
Amazing banter? check
Delicious tension? check
Plot twists? check
Heartbreak? check
Found family? check
A demon you'll accidentally fall in love with? Triple check
Every single chapter ended the same way:
"Wait... THAT'S IT?!"
I didn't just want the next chapter…. I needed it!
Now excuse me while I impatiently count the days until Part Two, because Serena... you can't leave me like this.

I absolutely loved Beast by Serena Knight.
This was my first book by Serena, but trust me—it definitely won’t be my last. Beasts is a powerful and beautiful love story. And it’s not just about romantic love; it also explores friendship, self-love, and family in a really meaningful way.
The writing is excellent and very fast-paced, which makes the story incredibly addictive. You’re constantly pulled forward and never lose interest. There are just enough twists and turns to keep things exciting without ever feeling overwhelming or confusing.
One of the greatest strengths of this book is its characters. It’s rare for me to love almost every single character in a story (with the exception of Mr. Pierce and Nikki). One of my favorite tropes is found family, and that’s exactly what you get here—and it’s done beautifully.
I highly recommend this book if you’re looking for a fun, emotional story that will make you laugh, almost cry, and feel intense rage toward mean girls and injustice.
I cannot wait to read Angels !
