Since having a grown child and I'm not employed, I have much more time to read than I used to. Before having my son I read all the time. I'm remembering the passion I had reading now that I'm back to it. Since December 2024 I've read around 25 books. My goal this year is to read at least 50. My favorite genres are horror and thrillers. I love a little mystery also and have read biographies.

THE XMAS DAY BUTCHER: A 25-Day Christmas Advent Thriller

This book is an advent book for Christmas. It was difficult to stick to the chapter a day as it was so thrilling. It was fun trying to figure out what happened to Lenny's wife. At times I was frustrated with Lenny and the things he did. My emotions were all over the place during this book.

First Halloween advent book I've seen. It was a great read and hard to stick to the chapter a day. It's got a little supernatural element mixed in it. A little about the book, without giving too much away is that children go missing on Halloween. We follow a family trying to find their missing child. Interesting things happen. Great read!
