A really enjoyable novella with a strong storyline and engaging pacing. Even in the shorter format, the author managed to build tension, develop the characters, and keep me invested from start to finish. It had just enough mystery and intrigue to pull me in without feeling rushed.
There were a couple of moments where I wished for a bit more depth or detail, but overall it was a solid, satisfying read that delivered exactly what I wanted from a quick thriller. A great pick when you want something short but impactful. Four stars!

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ ARC Review
This was an absolutely gripping and emotional read. From the very first chapter, I was drawn into Alice’s desperate need for answers and the heartbreaking mystery surrounding her son. The story balances grief, suspense, and a mother’s fierce intuition so well that I couldn’t put it down.
The twists were intense and the atmosphere wonderfully eerie, keeping me constantly guessing about what was real, who to trust, and what secrets were still hiding beneath the surface. Every new revelation added another layer to the darkness, and I found myself completely absorbed in Alice’s journey.
A powerful, suspense-filled thriller that delivers both heart and tension. Beautifully written and utterly captivating — a solid 5 stars!

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ ARC Review
This one started off a little slow for me, but once it found its stride I was completely hooked. The unfolding mystery around the twins, their mother’s past, and the chilling manuscript had me turning pages faster than I expected. It’s one of those stories that quietly builds tension until suddenly you realise you’re fully invested.
The atmosphere was brilliantly done — eerie, unsettling, and layered with secrets that just keep deepening. The abandoned village, the old manuscript, the family dynamics… everything blended into a gripping, twist-filled plot that kept me guessing right to the end.
By the final chapters I was completely absorbed. What began as a slow burn turned into a clever, addictive mystery with characters you can’t help but root for. A fantastic psychological thriller that delivers in all the right ways. Five stars!
