“<p>What an epic way to end the Blackshore series! This book was a complete emotional rollercoaster. Gut wrenching, exhilarating and funny all at the same time. I honestly never knew what was going to happen next, and Tamara had me all over the place with this one!</p><p>There were some moments that absolutely broke my heart, and I was not prepared for all the emotions this book put me through. I loved how everything came together, even if I was left wondering what on earth was going to happen next half the time!</p><p>And you’ve got to love Tanner! He brought some much-needed humour amongst all the chaos, and it was so good to see the gang together again.</p><p>Tamara really pulled out all the stops with this final book. It had everything I could have wanted, and I couldn’t have asked for a better ending to the series. I’m sad to say goodbye to Blackshore, but what a way to go out! Definitely an emotional ride from start to finish.</p>”

“★★★★★<br/><br/>I genuinely don’t know how I’m supposed to put this book into words.<br/><br/>The Curse of Blackshore is the kind of finale that hurts because you care so damn much. After everything these characters have been through, after loving them, worrying about them, fighting alongside them, and watching their story unfold, reaching the end felt incredibly bittersweet. I was excited to finally see how everything would come together, but at the same time, I was absolutely NOT ready to say goodbye.<br/><br/>And this book put my heart through it.<br/><br/>Jamie, Autumn, and Jesse… I don’t even know where to begin. The danger, the secrets, the impossible choices, the love, the grief, and that constant feeling that everything could fall apart at any second had me completely invested. And Tanner, Noah, and Felix too. These characters have all carved out their own little places in my heart, and saying goodbye to all of them feels genuinely unfair. 😂😭<br/><br/>What got me the most was the love woven through all of it. The kind of love that refuses to disappear. The kind that survives death, curses, time, betrayal, and things that should make survival impossible. That invisible thread connecting these characters has been one of my favorite parts of this entire series, and seeing everything come full circle was both heartbreaking and beautiful.<br/><br/>I actually had to take my time with the ending. I wasn’t ready to rush through those final pages because I knew what they meant: this was goodbye. And when you’ve become this attached to a fictional world and its characters, closing that final chapter feels a little like losing something.<br/><br/>I’ve had the absolute privilege of ARC reading all three books in this series, and I honestly don’t think I was prepared for what it would feel like to finally reach the end. I’ve been on this journey with these characters from the beginning, and knowing there won’t be another Blackshore book waiting for me afterward makes my heart hurt in the best and worst way.<br/><br/>I reread the first book before diving into the second, bought the second, and then got to experience the entire series as an ARC reader. I’ve watched these characters grow, suffer, fight, love, lose, and somehow keep going. I’ve stayed up way too late reading because I needed to know what happened next, and I’ve spent more than a few moments staring at a page trying to process what I had just read.<br/><br/>And now it’s over.<br/><br/>But somehow, Tamara Rector gave me exactly what I needed.<br/><br/>My heart broke. It healed. It broke again. And then, somehow, I was left with that warm, happy feeling that comes from knowing these characters finally got the ending they deserved.<br/><br/>This series has been such a journey for me, and The Curse of Blackshore was the perfect kind of painful goodbye. Emotional, haunting, heartbreaking, romantic, terrifying, and ultimately so satisfying.<br/><br/>I’m going to miss Blackshore. I’m going to miss Jamie, Autumn, Jesse, Tanner, Noah, Felix, and all the little pieces of this world that I’ve grown so attached to. I’m going to miss having another book to look forward to.<br/><br/>But what a way to say goodbye.<br/><br/>Beautiful, heartbreaking, emotional, and full of the kind of love that stays with you long after you’ve turned the final page. The Curse of Blackshore gave me the kind of ending that makes you close the book, stare into space for a minute, and just… feel everything.<br/><br/>Five stars doesn’t even feel like enough. 🖤🌊”

If I could have read this in one sitting I would have.</p><p></p><p>It’s a dark fantasy story with a little bit spice thrown in.&nbsp; In Hell, Ella has to face three trials for survival. I’m usually not a fan of trials in stories, but these kept me on the edge of my seat. With a great group of characters and a great plot, this book kept my interest until the very end.</p><p></p><p>Are there questions that still need answers? Of course there are. With this being the first book in a new series not everything can be neatly wrapped up. Looking forward to book two!&nbsp; Thanks to Inside Story and the author for the chance to read this early!</p>”

“<p>Absolutely loved this book! So different to your normal fantasy stories and gives you just enough to keep you hooked and wanting to know more about the main characters history. </p><p>This book has magic, romance and tests of will and strength. Teases you with hints and a slow build to who she is, which you still dont know by the end! </p><p>I am excited for the next book so I can find out where she comes from and if she has survived! </p><p>Very well written and definitely one for the ultimate fantasy lover</p>”

“<p>Brava, Nicole! I LOVED this book. </p><p>I applied for an advanced e-reader copy ONE DAY before the Due Date and thankfully, I was captivated from the start and whipped right through the 400* pages. </p><p>I’ve read what I consider to be a solid amount of fantasy, romantasy, and romance, and still found so much NEW in this book - and found it to be a clever winding of all three genres together with unique elements from each. The character “transformation” [to avoid spoilers] had me in equal parts laughing out loud, personally very curious, secondhand-embarassed at others, and all the while rooting for both of them throughout! </p><p>Nicole LaBrocca wove in some really unique parts that stood out to me well - in particular, the amount of time and attention and care she took to describe in internal sensations association with being in such different forms and sizes, and the striking level of intimacy that can still be achieved by bodies so dissimilar. Not QUITE the same here, but this oddly gave me hope that one day I may also feel ready to explore the emotional world again, after adapting to a very daily life-changing chronic illness. </p><p>Though hike me up those dunes and I’m outta there ✌️</p><p>I’m bummed I started this far in!
