I just don't know how I feel about this book. It's 50/50 for me. I am a huge horror and thriller fan. I love the tension and pounding in my chest as I read... This didn't do that one bit. It was an odd read. Some of the story telling I loved. Moments things were clear and conversations flowed. Then other parts I was confused as to what was going on. It would jump from one moment to another not really making sense. It could be this just wasn't a book for myself.

A mother's fight for truth.
Imagine finding out your daughter who you put up for adoption is missing? Not by a phone call, a letter in the mail asking for your DNA because a body has been found. Sabina's life was flipped upside down at that moment.
Noelle knows how to write a compelling piece. She strategically uses descriptions that bring out raw emotions throughout the book. You are not just reading some story. It's a piece of literature that digs into your soul. The lasting effects remain long after you close the book.
As a mother this story is so heartbreaking. The deep emotions captured in the words triggered that lurking mama bear reaction. I know I would do whatever it took to get answers and justice for my kids. The fact this is loosely based on a true story breaks my heart even more.
Words of advice get those tissues ready, snacks, drinks, and clear your schedule once you start this you won't be stopping.

Have yourself a creepy little Christmas with this anthology.
Stoke the fireplace, grab a soft blanket, and don't forget the hot cocoa or eggnog. Then cozy up with six gifted authors who twist the innocence of Christmas.
You'll be second guessing everything that goes along with the holiday season. That yearly Christmas party, you may be looking over your shoulder. Saying no to an extra guest for dinner. Checking the weather for a snowstorm before adventuring out. The cute elves or Santa you'll leave stored away. Surprise gifts will be a no thank you.
It's supposed to be the most joyous time of the year. Yet that didn't stop these six from giving me a fright. Start to finish my jaw didn't leave the floor. I was stunned and staring wide eyed at pages. I lost count how many times I said WTF. My heart got a workout. My gasps were plentiful. I loved every second of it. These stories are compelling, detailed, and magically addictive.
