I enjoyed the mayhem that ensued in this story for three friends who took something that didn't belong to them. With a gradual decay of their friendship, they begin to turn on each other, and the pressure heightens when they realise they aren't the only ones who know what they found.

While the ending wasn't my favourite, I liked the additional twist at the end. It's another solid story by an author I love to read, and I look forward to checking out more!

I completely felt the building anxiety from Ingrid as she juggled being a single mum and hunting a murderer before they killed again. Welz Bailey writes fantastic characters, ones you believe in and layered with complexities. I read this while in Norway, and the scenery descriptions were spot on and added to my enjoyment. It's a shorter read, but packed with substance. If you love an atmospheric mystery with a protagonist to root for, this one is for you!

Written in Malice is a creepy, tense story about an unravelling writer whose journal entries manifest into reality. A great premise and a fun, quick read!
