I don't read a *ton* of thrillers but I really liked this one because even though you know right away who the bad guys are, the story is all about jow to deal with the problems that come out of it. It's tense, suspenseful and has great characters.

But I kinda wanted that ambiguity at the end to be answered lol.

And what a read! Slow burn to a brutal end, fantastically tense and vaguely sympathetic even.

I particularly liked the second half but shhh no spoilers. You'll just have to read it yourself!

This is a fascinating, lyrical and yet still horrifying short story. I love the characters. It is truly a thriller: heart pounding and yet delicate, ambiguous and final.

A fantastic read.
